    Just to clarify

The Fzeven BIOS and the backup BIOS both flash fine, reapeatedly, with Uniflash.

My mods, 911medics mods, and the original 240 BIOS cannot flash at all.

    Hi Andy,

Yes Fzevens and the backup will flash ok with uniflash.

Original unmodded/911medics or yours, even ones ive created will NOT flash at all, just red X's for fail. But sofar i have been able to flash back with the memory backup that uniflash does when you flash.

I took out the 1b module of Fzevens, edited ASUS_FLASH into the required DMI area after the $ODB$. Re-inserted said too big by 10h bytes altho i had overwritten the 00 00 00 bits with the text so it was not larger as i not inserted the text.

For a test i put NECC_ in the DMI area and that reinserted altho would NOT flash.

This bios is really sensitive, and i hope no one else will get one like this. I even tried your tool without SLIC bin ( as it was already in ), just the text dmi part, went through ok no errors after remembering to compress 1B etc. Checked with a hex editor that SLIC and DMI parts are in, they was OK. Flashed, no go same XX's in red.

Looks like this one will not reflash, i will see if i can get another untouched board off ebay and see if it just this board being awkward.

I hate being beaten by a computer but it looks like this one has really stumped us all! At least its not dead and i can try vista in ASUS slic, and XP on 30day trial for testing any tweaks etc.

Many thanks for all your help Andy and 911Medic. Sorry for taking a lot of this thread space up, at least i found a bug that was in your tool about the 80h area lol.

    Regards,
    Mx

Edit: found a bios chip from a board (USB ports damaged) of same eeprom name/part number. Booted , hot swapped, detected bios same size etc, tried to flash same red X's even with the memory, backup.rom and Fzevens files!! Very strange i've always been able to hot swap and flash into a same type bios chip with same bios that booted the pc up. I am really confused!! Im disliking Asrock boards now lol.

v1.00 RC6 works 100% with the latest version of my P6T Deluxe bios using dynamic mode and default settings other then telling it whhat slic and slp to use. The auto detect identifies my bios as Asus like it is supposed to do. :)

Not as often as it used to. Gigabyte is almost a no-go these days with the isa. We have other methods though...:D:D

I watched for the Bios file and it is not Read , no checkmark.

Maybe cause i use 64bit or for the Language. Waiting for Andy's response.

I initially used slictool in xp pro 32 bit to modify the bios for my new pc. I now use Vista Ultimate x64 without any issues. Slictool runs fine and with it.
