    Thanks! :)

Tried it, and SSV2 almost bricked the board (Asus P5BV-C). Thank God for my EPROM burner :)

    SSV3 worked!

PS: this util only works on English Windows.

Please link the BIOS. SSV2 should be safest of all.

In what way does it not work in non-English systems. The buttons will always be in English, but I spent a lot of time getting the MMTool automation working in Russian and Chinese.

    Msi kt4u

i have tried modding an msi kt4 ultra bios but fails every time using ssv2 , it seems to be a problem inserting the SLP , i have unchecked "insert SLP string using ssv2 style" and this still fails , how it was a success when using SSV and unchecking the above in options, i tried this several times and every time was successfull, is this method likely to work ?? , this bios has an AMIBIOS core version 0700.

update flashed bios , got bricked , recovered, so no this dont work :(

any other option settings i should try to make this work ?

SSV doesn't work in all circumstances. I am actually reworking the SSV2 code as MMTool2 fails in some cases. Please link the BIOS and I will look.

    hi i have a asus p5q with 2102 bios.
First thanks for the tool its great!
I used it to mod bios with ssv3 and it works great.
I thought id give the dynamic a try but i can't get it to work.
I'm using the replace fc option and remove lock.
Flashed with afudos /i boots ok but vista isnt activating
flashed with afudos /i /pbnc /n boots ok after reset of bios values to default but still isnt activating.

Is it something with my board or am i doing something wrong.

    Thanks.

dynamic lock + 1b module works.

what is the difference between putting it at 1b or fc???

1B module is where the ACPI tables including SLIC are so that's the one that normally needs to be replaced. In some cases the SLIC may be in a Fx module as well. If a Fx module contains a full SLIC then I replace it in additon to 1B, but for most Asus bios FC is only 16 bytes and isn't used.
