Hi, I'm trying to insert an SLIC 2.1 table into the BIOS of Microsoft VirtualPC 2007. It keeps saying "boot block checksum not valid" I've tried both an untouched bios and a bios with ASus SLIC 2.0. Please advise? thank you
To all those having RSDT/SLIC table issues with OEM/Table IDs. Please try UNticking 'Old replace OEM ID in additional tables' If that doesn't work then ALSO tick 'Replace split table/oem id strings' Report back. I will try to look at each case in the next couple of days. Andy

"ThePilgrim" is correct, slictool 1.28 reports the".rom" as not being AMI. Download & rename it from .106 to .rom & try...
Andy, I was having the same problem and fixed it by unticking 'replace OEM ID in additional tables' AND ticking 'Replace split table/oem id strings' Thanks again!
Can you look at my SLIC Mod Tool log and tell me if I did this right? It is aself built computer. I have an MSI K9A2 CF-F board which is ami bios. I used DELL_QA09.BIN for slic I used Dell.txt for SLP which inside says "Dell Computer" I verified with DELL.XRM-MS which said matched. Re Here is the ACPI dump of my notebook, done with Everest, after applying the flashed BIOS. We see that the OEM IDs are not modified in the OEMS , RSDT & XSDT ! Any option would help ?
