Hmmm... I have one question for 911medic or andyp I mood the asus m70vm with SSV3 and activation is done but... notebook constantly beeping a sound (the sound of disconnecting a usb device)... Its posible that a bad mood bios cause this?
The "o" is stuck on your keyboard?? A mod may cause this. Try a SSv2 mod and see if the difference is there..Or reinstall the Windows...It could be this also. What mode of activation did you use previously. Loader or none??
Before i use the original bios - asus slic 2.0 with vista. I did reinstall windows twice, and that wierd beep is still there. I don't know if this problem is the drivers i used (they are for vista) or the bios. I will try SSv2 and see the difference
Hmm, come to think of it, i've noticed this as well. Not bothering me at the moment though - doesn't happen too often. lets hope it stays that way If you try ssv2, let me know if it makes a difference.
I try SSv2 and the "stupid" USB plug/unplug sound remain So, it must be a windows 7 driver problem. By the way 911medic, in your opinion what's the best mod (with a single "o" ) for this bios, SSv2 or SSv3? Thanks
IMO it would be the SSv2 mod. The offsets are kept the same. SSv3 is safe and effective. I guess it is just personal opinion.. If the 1B contains a full slic, then SSv3 or dynamic is best..again, whatever activates in the end is best....
Not yet..The tool may be ready(or close)..I think people expect too much from phoenix mods. They are still very difficult to realize..even with the tool. Still in discussion, for sure.... It isnt an IF now....Just a WHEN.....If you understand the phoenix mods, then you understand his trepidation...AWARD and AMI mods are childsplay and people still screw them up daily; even with the tools... Look at is as saving you from yourself...phoenix can be very different from bios to bios..
Hi 911medic I think (not 100% sure, but 99,99%) I found the origin of this isse... It's Authentec AES1610 fingerprint reader under Windows 7. The problem seems to relate to how Windows 7 puts idle usb devices into standby... And so that "stupid" unplg USB chime, but I believe I have found a workaround. If someone have this issue do this: go to computer management, go to the properties of the AuthenTec Inc. AES1610, go to the power management tab, and uncheck "Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power" Have fun
I've just tried AMITool 1.33 on my MSI P55-GD80 revision 1.4 bios but it returns "Failed to extract 1B module" ... Any ideas what I need to do to get it to work?
