    andyp,
    could you include new options to manual? Whay to remove aliases in ACPI tables? Don't understand the exact meaning of this. I see 2 aml sources after processing but how the new one affects behavior that ACPI exposes to system?

    I really much appreciate your prompt reply!

    1. BIOS 2203 mod actually done by NoJuan999 as 2203SLIC.ROM;

    2. Flashing in DOS by Afudos238 /i2203SLIC.ROM was the first I did! Result was same >> procedure all OK but SLIC remains 2.0. Shall I repeat this?

    Or any other ideas? ;)

    Thank you.

    P.S. BTW I had a chance to test Afudos238 /i2203SLIC.ROM again right a few minutes ago >> procedure all OK but SLIC remains 2.0.

    However pls find RW info as two files attached:
    1. first is of official 2203 as already attached to my initial post regarding this matter;
    2. second is made right after reflashing a minute ago with 2203SLIC.ROM.

    Just had a chance to look in a hex editor. This is NOT an OEMX problem.

    I can't obviously see why this doesn't work.... will ix further.

    WOW! Good news to hear that it's not because of OEMX :)

    Could you please do something to cure this headache of mine?

    THANKS A LOT!

    BTW, I keep a copy of the original BIOS ROM file of this mobo as purchased - it's 0302. So if it could be useful...

    1) Yes eventually
    2) To allow Mac OSX installation
    3) Before and after. Behaviour depends on what you modify! SLI certificate and ACPI Management entry in Device Manager.

    Other than, in some cases, it is needed to allow Mac OSX to install on a PC, I have no idea. Something about removing alias for CPU fixes the need of cpus=1 at boot.

    hm... didnt have osx installed since 10.5.something and yes i rememeber need of cpus=1 back then, however back then i was reading its connected to marvell network kext(driver). For fun i checked both options and then compared both DSDT files, only difference was SLI certificate installed, so i guess bios doesnt have any cpu aliases. Question is (for people having this aliases), if removing them effects windows instalations in any case
