    Hi Andy,

I also have the same problem with chen, used modtool 1.40 ssv3 on asus motherboard (M2n68-am se2). Windows 7 x64 activated but winxp does not activate. I get OEM SLP string not found when running dump toolkit. Flashed the bios using ASUS EZFlash utility. Used DELL SLP, DELL SLIC and DELL certificate. Any ideas what i am doing wrong?

    Thanks!

Not yet. Could you try a mod ticking the place SLP in IBM string option, and if that doesn't work post a RW Everything memory dump of FFFE0000 to FFFFFFFF.

    THanks

Nice one!! New version (will release when I have sorted out the SLP string issue) will be able to do it.

    SLI Mod

I seems to have a problem with the "Add SLI entry". It doesn't seem to have any effect on my motharboard at all. I don't know if I'm maybe just not selecting the right options. I have the MSI P35 Platinum. When I patch the BIOS for SLIC2.1, it seems to work, but if I select SLI, it doesn't show up in everest... Don't know why?

    Hi Andy,

Did not work by ticking SLP in IBM region. See attached file for RW-Everything dump (SLP in IBM region ticked).

    Thanks!

I've just had a similar SLP (AcerSystem) problem with a dynamic mod on an Asus P5KPL-AM-EPU mobo. Selecting "Insert SLP string in IBM region" fixed it. :D

Perhaps the tool needs to check the SLP string and look up the permissible memory location range for it.

Finally, my most sincere thanks to AndyP for the great tools and all his very hard work.

    Hi

The string is there (in the IBM string). You used 'Dell Computer', unfortunately this is very difficult to place (it would need to be at FE076 - but this is code). Something like ASUS_FLASH should be fine.
