Yes it works! But i have to choose "other" not "MSI" i`ve done it with like 15 beta bioses now. The question is: Why can your tool use MMTOOL to patch the bios, when i can`t even open the bios in MMTOOL?

For the reason I described. The first 2MB seems to be dummy. MMTool can't cope with this. Don't ask me why, ask MSI! What happens if you have manufacturer as 'MSI' and not 'Other'?? It works ok with MSI here.

Not at all. My bad on the last one.

    Thanks for letting us know!

PS I am adding code to all the tools to stop this happening again - it will verify the SLICs digital signature.

Last time i tried with the "MSI" option it just didn`t work, couldnt activate windows, but "other" always works. But i`ve been using amitool 1.40, i will give the newest version a go next time. How does amitool parse the bios file to mmtool to make it work? Any special command line parameters?

    Supermicro board

    Hello All,
And first congratulation for all your good work!!!!
I have a X7SLM Supermicro server motherboard that i'd like to mod with this tool. Because I read about earlier difficulties of Yen and 911Medic with Supermicro boards, I'm wondering if this new tool is fine. I'd like to avoid bricking my brand new board.
I'm seeing very little about Supermicro in the forum. So thanks for your input.
    BIOS Type: AMI
    BIOS revision: 1.0
    BIOS Version: 08.00.15
    ROM Size: 2048 KB
No SLIC info according to RW-everything and Everest
Please let me know if there's anything else you need.
    Thanks!

What type of mod did you try first (with manufactuer as MSI)
-What did you say to initial prompt about Fx module (Yes or Cancel)
    - If cancel, what type of mod did you choose (SSV2/3)

Just chop out the last 2MB, save it, and load that into mmtool. Then when finished put the first 2MB back again.

    Can I have a link.

Honestly I can't recall anything good or bad about supermicro. I will have a look and ask them.
