    Yes AndyP's Ph/dell/EFi tool worked!

Wonder what module the EPA logo is in? I have done award and AMI logo changes. But never a phoenix/EFI.

Thanks again. Andy is way too cool! :)

I've modded the firmware on a motherboard once before without any problems, but this second time with an MSI 770-G45 chipset I can't get any cd-keys to authorize. I think it has something to do with the tool and the BIOS file I am getting from the MSI site. I think I should find an older BIOS flash, but I wanted to check if anyone here has had this problem. Using amitool162 when I load the original BIOS I get this message: "This BIOS has already had a SLIC (2.1) table (ITSUMIADAX ) instered in the F0 module. Allow modification? [Yes, No, Cancel]" I've used ASUS and HP slics+slps/certs, and I haven't been able to authenticate with either. The commands to insert the certificate and cd key both say completed successfully, but when I go to computer properties and click to activate it fails. Maybe the ITSUMIADAX (the bios is from march 2011) is an (un)intentional copy protection?

It already have a SLIC, but we can't activate it due to missing cert.

Try to mod it in Dynamic way (Ans Yes to modification) or default SSV2 (Ans Cancel to modification).

    :)

I can only choose Dynamic when I use the mod program. I just chose the option that the manufacturer is ASUS even though its an MSI board, also the 'verify certificate' check always says it doesn't match, but it does match when i check the slic/cert online.

Edit: I noticed I misread your instructions, I successfully used the SSV2 option, I'm going to flash bios now.

Click on CANCEL when the window (about using Dynamic Method) pops up, then choose SSV2 Method for an MSI Motherboard.
DON'T check the Certificate until you Reload the Modified BIOS in the Tool.

I want to change SLIC in AMI BIOS and I have lost the original BIOS (without SLIC). In this case Ami tools refuse to work though they mod successfully the similar bios with slic 2.0. How can I make Amitools start?
The mod itself is not aproblem, simply change only 1B block

^ My guess is that has something to do with the fact that the BIOS is an AMI Core 7 (0700) BIOS.

Yah... I also thought that. But it was modded before; may be manual mod.
