Would anyone be able to help me with a Motherboard with a BIOS ROM that is inside an EXE file? The makers did not release the file itself, only an updating tool. I have had this issue with Dell motherboards in the past. The Motherboard is an ASRock Z68 Extreme3 Gen3. Does anyone know a dos tool I would use to update the BIOS with, but instead just create a backup copy? That seems like the best way to extract the bios rom.
Anyone able to get any of Andyp's tools to work on win 8? When I try creating a bios, for a win 7 machine, I get a error message saying the application couldn't be started.
I tried that and was getting the same results. I re downloaded and tried again. It is now working. The file seemed to be corrupted for some reason on my pc. I have had it happen before with win 7. Thanks
I can't seem to find a certificate anywhere... this is as far as I get before knowing where to find the certificate. I'm pretty newb at this, help? View attachment 17562 Nevermind, found it by downloading the unofficial AMI one. My problem was not being sure enough if I was creating the proper ROM for my BIOS, I didn't want to blow anything up... Luckily, someone found a version for my motherboard, yay! Everything is working great now and all activated. Much easier than making my own, lol.
trying to slic old Asus P5G-Mx 1333 bios 0413 but the tool stops working and fails insert b1 module. Can i solve this? I´m using win7 64bit and never got this problem.
Thanks for the feedback. Actually I faced this problem before... the victim was the real time scanner of MSE.
