Glad it worked.. I do not think you did anything wrong, only limited resources. I did an old style OEM7 mod with the OEM7 module taking place of the ACPITBL and containing the slic, then moved the ACPITBL to the end and altered the OEMID/TABLEID with pointer to the slic.. Moved ACPITBL to end of bios file filled old ACPITBL space with slic code of same size Altered ACPITBL RSDT to point to slic. The tool can do this, but you need to alter the defaults.....
I do not use the tool. I do it with the hex editor and cbrom.. You have RAID enabled. It would seem so.
Once again, thanks heaps for all the help. Unfortunately all the other info is a bit over my head at the moment, but I'll keep the info so I can hopefully learn more. Will probably post another BIOS soon as that is giving me a headache as well!
The tool used 0+2 as default, but that failed. I then used ISA and it said succeeded, but after flashing, clearing CMOS and restoring BIOS defaults I still have no SLIC. One other problem I had was AFUDOS, but I've changed versions and that's working fine now.
I have always used the oem7 mod on these. I will take a look, and maybe make a different mod than the tool, but still oem7..
Thanks once again. OEM7 did the trick. Hadn't tried that as didn't want to risk problems with something I wasn't sure of.
Cool..Save me some work..LOL It is always best to ask if you are not sure. I dont think the tool will allow you to break the bios without circumventing the safeguards. You cannot do that by accident. Thanks for letting me know!!!
