"EPA module must follow ACPI module" error message

I have used the new 1.21 version on 3 new Gigabyte bios versions with SSV3method. All have resulted in "EPA module must follow ACPI module" error messages.

BUT when I apply the 1.20 version ( and prior versions too) with SSV3 method, all modification resulted in success. All 3 modified bioses successfully updated on MBs.

Can someone explain to us what is going on wtih the new version 1.21????

    Hi, andyp

Is it stable to use the new version? v1.23 (Beta)?

    Andyp:
Is it normal you still get an occasional crc/checksum error with some bioses?
My brother has a Gigabyte EX58-UD5. It flashes with an error, but works fine otherwise (activated Ultimate7).

Not a crc error on every reboot.
What i meant is that the flashtool gives a crc error warning before flashing.
I don't remenber that from my asus boards.

depends on the flash tool. You can add the switches to bypass the check..

    My goodness gracious !!

Hey just wanted to say that you're all insane !!

Great tool AndyP !! - I've been a-doin the SSv3 by hand for a while now, I came over to MDL to get a new 2.1 cert/bin and stumbled upon this thread ... Good lord - now I just press a button and a sexy GUI does all that painful work automagically !! it just works !! I've hit-up three different BIOS's (Asus & Gigabyte) just for the hell of it now - Heck I think I'm gonna start patching random BIOS files just so I can blissfully watch the insertion and iterative magic whiz by !!

Bottom-line, this work must be somewhat thankless, so a heart-felt “Thank-You” for all your efforts - and for this top-notch tool !!
