    Epox 8RDA3+

    Hello,
i modded several Bioses sucessfully. But with an old Epox 8RDA3* it doesnt seem to work.

I tried all Methods in the Award Toll, the 0+1 Method reported a sucess, but when flashing the modified bios there is no slic to be found.

Im a bit confused because the tool always worked , when it said "sucesss".

Or are old bioses and mainboards not modifiable?

    Thanks fpr the Help

    Hello,

I've tested an original BIOS file with Award SLIC Mod v1.29, and noticed that if I run the program multiple times, always selecting the same files (original BIOS, SLIC file and SLP file) and options, and saving the resulting modded BIOS each time under a different name, I end up with multiple modded BIOS files... all different one from another !
When I do a binary comparison between two of them, it shows a lot of differences.

    Do you know why ?

    Thanks !

Great tool btw. Successfully modded a ZOTAC 9300 ITX wifi bios with it last night on the first attempt. Thanks, and kudos!

    Why the files are different

I use this tool for making SLIC2.1 bios from original with all parameters set .
    I used method 0+2.
I click and made new file and renamed to *.bak
I click again and make another file with same parameters.
I compared those two files and there is 6 sections different.
Why is that, same input BIOS, same Certificate, same name, same method and result is two different files.
Can you explain somebody to me, I'm missing something?
Also for FIC MoBo K2BC51LF(Gateway5232E) what method is good ? AWARD BIOS v.6 its saying

    Thank you in Advance

    Success report

    Hi,

First of all, thanks for this fine piece of software. I just wanted to report success:

    * Board: EVGA 680i SLI board (ID: 122-CK-NF68)
    * Generated a BIOS with DELL SLIC2.1 table, from this original: (Apparently I cannot post links yet, so this should be a link to the NF68_P32.bin file from the EVGA FTP site) (I know the P33 version of this BIOS is the latest, but it had a regression where it could not recognize my EPP memory correctly anymore, so I had to revert to P32.)
    * Flashed the new BIOS successfully
    * No problems booting and activating Windows 7 Ultimate, using Windows 7 Loader v1.7.7r

The only minor 'ugliness' I see from this mod, is the BIOS type is now reported by Everest as "Dell SystemwardBIOS v6.00PG". Of course, this used to be "Phoenix - AwardBIOS v6.00PG", but the first 11 characters were overwritten with the Dell SLP stuff. This is purely cosmetic; maybe an extra NUL byte could be poked after the "Dell System" string, or the whole string could be replaced with e.g. "Dell System BIOS v6.00PG"?

In any case, the log file, for your reference (I see no problems in there):

Could you please post a little bit more information about your BIOS? E.g. does it look like an Award BIOS in the bootup messages? Where can you download the BIOS? Which type of machine is this? Did you try to load the BIOS into the Award tool, and if so, did it give you any special messages? And so on, any extra information you can supply.
