Could you not use CBROM to put the module back in a dummy copy - then copy the module with header in a hex editor into the tool modded BIOS when it pauses. I will look when I get a chance at reintegration in the tool - the problem is with modules that end up a different size. Andy
sorry, i'm not sure whether i've got what you've said. certainly i'm not using cbrom now. but i can't work in hex with compressed modules in bios image: the offsets are unknown. i do not distinguish where a compressed module starts or ends, bacause there are no clear borders of compressed modules. epox mf570-sli award bios, which i have completely remodded with hex and cbrom, was much simpler than gigabyte ma790fxta-ud5p bios. as i've said on the previous page, awardtool works fine, but cbrom doesn't.
thanks a lot. works awsome. and what about modules of different sizes, especially if they differ in 5kb or more? if i delete empty code somewhere and enlarge the module needed, will the awardtool be able to fix all other modules adresses which were changed?
Yep..Glad it worked for you. FYI there is a ASUS_FLASH SLP 1.0 in the bios from factory..so XP is also an option for you... The OEM7 mods should work, but they dont. It is a module compression thing. The OEM7 is compressed, the SSv1 is not..(slic I mean)
