andyp this are killergd00 Recommended for gigabyte bios 1, the original BIOS EPA module not behind ACPI module, automatically use the ACPI AT END; 2, Gigabyte BIOS default FACS; 3, BIOS remaining space is less than 10K, the default is 0 +2 modify the way;
Thanks Have made FACS default for gigabyte Just to be clear, when you say EPA not behind ACPI do you mean EPA is closer to the START of the file than ACPI, or closer to the END of the file than ACPI?? Andy
Just a little (cosmetic ?) bug in v1.48. If you enter in Advanced settings a different number instead 7 for OEMx module (Ex. 6) and the OEM6 module is already present in the bios, the tool reports "There is already an OEM7 module." This confuses a bit ...
sorry ,is my bad eng for gigabyte, if oringinal bios do not have epa module when select ssv3 it will automatically use the ACPI AT END
Thanks. Done in 1.49 (although only when ssv3 auto-selected by tool, otherwise it is manual selection) Andy
This happens even with the 1.49ver. When you play a little with the drop down menus going back and selecting another method and again to advanced the menus shows every selection two or even three times.
I Just have to say, I'm not a Fan of FACS as Default for the Newer Gigabyte BIOS Mods. IMO, SSV3 (if EPA Module is present) and SSV3 (with ACPITBL at End) if no EPA Module is found would be a much better Default Method. FACS Fails to work on Many more Bios Mods than SSV3 or SSV3 (With ACPITBL at End). I only use that method if the SSV3 Mod doesn't work properly, which is almost never. PS I have not had the problem that others have had with the Advanced Menu.
Changed back to SSV3 in 1.50. Should still hopefully autodetect when loading BIOS whether ACPITBL at end is needed. Andy
It was. It's gone now. My broadband is screwed up and i can't get it to upload fully via dial-up :@ Should be back working later in the week... Andy
