Another success, Gigabyte ga-ex58-ud5 version f12 using a Gigabyte SLIC. Thanks andyp, the new version works great.

    Serg008,

Thank you once again for the prompt response...as well as your efforts to creating the file. Looking at your screen shot, it appears that the settings I'm using while creating the file is similar. Are you changing something in the advanced settings if you're not receiving any errors?

For some reason, when I create the file, I'm receiving the error: "Not enough space to add SLP string. Truncate SLP string to binary bios SLIC Filename: ACER [ACRSYS-ACRPRDCT-ANNI]2.1.B?"

Do you receive this error as well? If I say "YES", it will correct itself and create successfully the bios file, if I say "NO", obviously it does not create the file successfully as their is not enough space (actually 3 bytes too large). I'm curious as to if this is a common error, if not, is it something to be concerned about. I'd hate to brick my board. I've searched regarding my error code, but have not found another post with a similar error code. Any help would be appreciated.

I'll await your response before I attempt to flash (or anyone else who can clarify the error that is received during assembly of the new bios file).

    Thank you!

Hmmm...I wonder what the heck I'm doing wrong. I've tried files which were verified matching files on both win 7 and XP.

I'm going to try your file and report back to you by tomorrow evening...in the meantime, its bugging me as to why I'm getting that error...no matter which set of files I try to mod the original bios with, I get the SLP file size error.

I just tried the dell files that I think you're using...in addition to testing it to the .XRM file you provided which matches...I didn't get any errors either with that particular setup. I wonder why all the others I've tried didn't work...hmmm

At any event, thank you, I'll report back and let you know what happens by tomorrow.
