Umm, as long as people here are linking to a google search, the key is visible in the search URL, so it would be wise for the people showing the search, and those quoting that person, to remove the search URL ASAP! Let's not try and set records for getting keys added to the ban list, plz.
Yall dont have to worry about keys getting blacklisted anymore-If M$ caught this and blacklisted, Dell manufacturers would have to change the keys in all the PCs they have manufactured with this key. They have probably already been boxed up and ready to ship by now. Its too late for M$ to blacklist OEM keys
Well, gee, I guess we can consider this key effectively added to the block list, right along with the Lenovo one. People just don't seem to know what the tern discretion means.
ok newbie thicko question alert 1)install win7 on my HP machine bios slic 2.1 hpoem + use that key will it work 2)install win7 on my HP machine bios slic 2.1 hpoem + use that key then slicdump save the certificate what will that certificate be Dell or HP
well it still 2 months until offical lunch, however it think they at least printed quiet some oem dvds already... dont think MS will bother anymore, would even be suprised if they would leave original lenovo key as well...
Lunar u did a gr8 job hats off to you. I myself use a dell laptop can you please post the latest cert that would have came with the dvd thanks in advanced
Are you sure though? I mean, none of the systems have shipped yet, so could they not issue Dell a new key, along with a script to quickly change the key on installed systems, and have Dell update their install media for future machine builds? I just don't get how everyone is in a mad rush for keys when you can rearm for literally 2 days short of half a year??!
It is purposeless. As soon as they start to sell systems we get a key so for what to do a lot of work now to blacklist this key and ship another? And we still have no guarantee that someone leak this new key again. Think about it.
It could be a huge inconvenience (and so also huge cost) to Dell to change this key, if they have already started putting it on PCs. However, this is their fault for letting the key leak - MS would probably consider that a fair punishment for allowing the key to leak.
