Folks, why are all so excited about the new OEM-key? Why not waiting for keys that are installed on OEM machines after the 22nd of October? You can rearm 120 days!

This key will be blacklisted, sooner or later. Later with Service Pack 1.

I will wait for the "real" keys, there is no time to hurry. Anyway, i have Professional installed ;)

Don't worry, sooner or later someone will find you a Pro key. :) I kinda had the same thoughts as you earlier, but then heck, if they block a key, we'll all just change to a new one!

Shouldn't disemination of it even on here be only through PM's so we can be sure that there is a good change of MS not finding out about it?

why are you complicating so much anyway? even if key is banned that doesnt mean new one will be issued to dell and leaked on 22nd. It really doesnt matter, not for MS or for Dell of for random people using it. Just makes them more expenses if they try to change it, but end result will be the same... stop complicating :< leaked today, ups banned (when Win7 will actualy recive updates over WU on 22nd), issued new one, leaked in a month, ups maybe banned again (when Win7 will actualy recive updates over WU on 22nd), issued new one, "leaked" on 22nd, oh well we cant ban this one... does it matter? you need to issue _ONE_ command to change key, big problem to change it every month!

It's doubtful this key will be blacklisted. It's too close to the release.

The original Lonovo key was released VERY early, and Microsoft had enough time to act on it. I would assume the key will be blacklisted on the release date, October 22nd. Though I cannot honestly fathom why they would wait.

However, this key is most likely already in use on end-user machines waiting to be shipped out in October. For them to go back and replace the key -- again -- would cause far too many more delays to current production.
