I came across a Acer Notebook acquired on a Mobile Data Contract. Office 2010 Pro Plus is pre-installed VL with a MAK key. My understanding of the VL is that this can't be legal even if the Mobile network is supplying the notebook on contract. I was even able to retrieve the MAK key with 1500 activations available. Any thoughts on the legality? Another issue is the COA States Win 7 Home Premium but Win 7 Pro is installed.
Hello everyone! I am a grumpy old git recently joined here....although I have lurked for some time. I have successfully used the 2010 version of office for over a year on several machines. Although obtained elsewhere it was from here. I have no probs at all (well as of today anyhow). But I installed it on my elderly computer illiterate fathers machine too. He is having problems. He gets the "this copy is not activated" message and a countdown. He also gets an error code "OXCOO4F074". He lives a long way away and a visit is not due until after "D" day. Will any of the fixes work on his PC or should I start again? I am reasonably OK on a PC but not up to your standards so please could any advice be in a simple step by step format. Thanks everyone for your time!
The time has come to unfit the The New Office 2013 Repository with the Windows Licensing Threads in order to fully mesh everything together into one thread. Also we may need to add onto "The New Office 2013 Repository" regarding the licensing or I may just make a completely new thread. So ya I'm going to need to freshen up on the notes that I gave to this thread lol.

Ok guys I think we need a section that details how to do the silent install config.xml I need it for a project I'm doing can this be added to the awesome repository lol I already have the config.xml for Office 2013.
I added it to the Office 2013 Repo so I'm wanting it to carry over to the Office 2010 Repo. This would make it so that people have the option for a silent install without digging all over the place to make one.
I want to update this Repository so that is relevant again. This would mean taking this repo in a new direction under my management.
I know you can but I'm thinking about remaking the Office 2010 Repository and updating this. I have the silent config.xml files and MSPs. I'm half tempted to do it.
