Most likely it is because Windows 7 has not officially hit retail and the general populace yet. Wait until after Oct. 22nd and I will bet you will start seeing them.
so how many of these are security updates? I didn't get 1 security update on windows update yet, just the windows defender updates and stuff. seeing as vista has had like 10 security updates since RTM I guess some are needed
I think that this updates wont be available on october 22. Its just stupid to make such movement, one update gone bad or not "globally" tested and bugfree, could hurt MS and windows reputation forever. So...they will hit before, or after october 22 People are testing 16385 since july, it will be really stupid to make a tested build last less than 24hs on general public.
Some of these updates will be legit, i would say 80% will hit WU. If you want to install them go ahead, if not no biggie we'll all start seeing updates come the 22nd.
When you right click on rar files check the box that says keep broken files. The rar files will unpack the 33 updates for both 32bit and 64bit even though you got the corrupt message. Clicking on intall installed 26 important updates viewable in Windows Update History. Also installed by my OK was update for Silverlight. 4 were not applicable. 1 was for 3 files that needed to be transfered someplace?I Xed it out.
But more stupid will be to release on the LAUNCH DAY, a 400mb bugfixes Not a single person will take too serious an OS that need 400mb fixes on launch day
I have them all installed on my x64 system everything is still working fine Haven't noticed any difference Its still activated I still use Windows update too
Well i think it is stupid to install updates on your machine just because they are available, all hardware is different you may not even need some updates.
For me, I had to apply the patches due to a host of minor bugs on my 64 bit sytem as i pushed it. The biggest was random wireless drop-outs. Anyway, ALL, and I mean all the little bugs were fixed with 30 odd patches. Craftbrewer
Not wrong, for all Vistas faults at launch, it NEVER has so many pre-release patches as Windows 7. What I am going to love is how the M$ marketing people are going to put a positive spin on a new flash operating system that obviously was pushed out too early and needed fixing with 30 odd patches.
