This info is quite old, and was probably just rumour at best, but I believe work on Windows 9 has been going on for a fair while now. Windows 9 is supposedly a 'new' operating system, and not just an updated one. By new I mean like XP -->7 (saying XP-->Vista is a bad example!), and not just Vista-->7-->8. Basically it would be the 'true' Windows 7, as in 7.0, but no doubt the numbering will be 9.0.

You should share it with WZOR, he needs to cat-fooding his pets.

.......wonder how he is going to cover his "8888 sign-off"? :wallbash:

No idea, they seem so sure about the 8888 sign-off :waycon1:
And AIM (Application Installation Manager) server is down, so I can't check MSIT servers.

has it been signed off or not? 8888 & 9200 is confusing, which is rtm or is neither rtm?

yes it has been signed off and the build number is 9200 ... many trusted sites claim they have the RTM but still no leak until now :(

its not 100% confirmed to be the final RTM build.
Most sites just copy fake news from china.
Better to read winunleaked to be sure its 100% accurate. WZor and many others fail so often!

All this excitement without a likely reliable activation workaround...

A long silence shows something fishy at MS  They might want to hide RTM information until release on MSDN/TechNet/OEMs, etc :movingtongue: Expect a surprise from MS...
