Let me clarify. Of all the system tray icons, network is the only one that brings up a metro overlay when clicked. This is inconsistent. When you use the desktop it should keep you, in the desktop.

It brings up the *charm* - the desktop remains in place. In fact, it is the Metro look when it comes to the networks (the only difference compared to Windows 7 are the typesetting and the icons - both are larger and more legible).

What's your screen resolution? (In my case, it's 1920x1080 - due to my being on a traditional desktop with a traditional FP display. If you are on a notebook with a smaller or nonstandard resolution, the difference is likely due to that, and thus not being able to *snap* Metro apps to the side.)

Capture.PNG You should at least have these defaults. Go to Default Programs > Set your default programs > IE > Choose defaults for this program

Stop hovering to collapse... Click to collapse... Hover to expand... Click to expand...

Can someone with the latest build tell me how you change the size of the tiles? I find this the most interesting news from the latest leaked screenshots. PCbeta (left) and canouna (right) showed the same build but different sizes of tiles!

    Thx :)

I think the pics were taken with different screen sizes, so that should be the reason for different tile sizes!

*charm* is part of the metro UI as far as I'm concerned. However you refer to it though, my point still stands. If you click on the volume icon it doesn't bring up a *charm* for that, does it?! It is inconsistent.

Take a closer look. This is NOT the semantic zoom.

No. The font has the same size. Don't you see it?

Higher Resolution = more Tiles = smaller Tiles, there was also a Reg Tweak i posted for WDP ages ago in some thread that would just force 1 more tile row on any resolution (if it were to fit)

It's clear that a higher resolution can fit more tiles. That is not my point. But in the screenshot from PCbeta the IE tiles is much smaller than on Canouna's screenshot. There is more space beside the "Internet Explorer" text. But the text has the same size. "Start" has also the same size.

    This is new to me.

EDIT: Here is what i mean:

Yes most likely. But would be great if there is a setting where you can select large or smaller tiles.
