Building Windows 8: Building the next generation file system for Windows: ReFS blogs.msdn.com/b/b8/archive/2012/01/16/building-the-next-generation-file-system-for-windows-refs.aspx
at least for now. “With this in mind, we will implement ReFS in a staged evolution of the feature: first as a storage system for Windows Server, then as storage for clients, and then ultimately as a boot volume. This is the same approach we have used with new file systems in the past.”
@canouna: But if Microsoft deletes ReFS from Client builds, they also must delete Storage Space because Storage Space uses ReFS!?
Canouna, I don't need screenshot or leak, just tell me (or hint) if there will be Metro or improvement UI for the desktop?, plssss
That's a real Picasso! @canouna But seriously: Microsoft has to concentrate on desktop users with the beta release. Think about it! Nobody has a tablet that could run the beta, so almost everybody can only test Windows 8 on laptops or desktops without touch. If Microsoft can't convince the public testers that Metro works and feels great with mouse, keyboard and touch-pad, they will fail. IMHO The little progress we have seen in the known pre-beta builds don't seem to be enough.
