x32? really? x32? Can you not use the proper x86? (just playing :) ) but really, seeing people use/say x32 really does make my head hurt. lol

I liked virtualPC before win7. Was easier to copy files from guest to host and vice-versa. VirtualBox has always been a pain for me to get sharing to work between host and guest. Managed to achieve it only once. Never have again. :(

Are you sure that's a bug? I hope it is a placeholder for a multitasking view similar to what Windows Phone has.

On another note after seeing those presentations: I really hope they will come up with better names for "Charms bar" and "Metro-style apps". Especially Metro-style doesn't make much sense, because they are mostly touch apps that don't have to look Metro-like. And games are almost never in "Metro-style". For me, Metro is more of the design language and not about the program model under it. I would suggest simply calling them "touch apps".

It's interesting that she mentioned that auto-correction and spell-checking will be available to all "Metro-styled" apps. Great. But does that mean that these features will not be available on the desktop?

Im pretty sure it's unfinished that's why i call it a Bug cause it's not intended, you can expirence the exact identical "bug" on the WDP by force closing a metro app.
But yeah it would clearly be better that after you Close such an fullscreen app you get a Multitasking View instead of the Startscreen (with a option to disable that behaviour) where you can choose which app you want to switch too, still bug's me that they didnt show any Multitasking view besides Alt-tab (how do you alt tab on a tablet?), heck seriously would it be so hard to make these Alt-tab previews a bigger (tiles..) and give them it's own space (darken the background more or whatever)... crossed fingers.

It's unlikely we will ever see a Windows 8 leak as the employees, partners are scared after what happened to the last 2 who leaked, termination of employment. Very risky, just enjoy the screenshots, info we get. Rather than having a leak whic gets old then no screenshots at al.

So Metro is the reason why no leak's more? :D

    Metro = underground line

So Windows 8 went into the underground.?
So m$ went into the underground.?

Or because Windows 8 it is so bad and ugly
m$ not want to show it!
    ...before it must be ;)

    haha :D

I really think there are no leaks no more from m$ ;)

The Procedure For Previous Public Betas

As I remember, Microsoft announced the public beta for previous versions of Windows well in advance of its availability and asked those interested to register if they wanted to download it. When Microsoft was ready to release the public beta for download, they sent an e-mail to those who registered with instructions and their own individual key code. So far, none of that has happened for this version of Windows but I wouldn't be surprised to see it any day now.

I know were stepping way back when I say this, but couldn't post RTM versions of Windows 7 leak? They don't include that harmful tag that fires employess do they..

I know they dont include many changes, but it'll be awesome to use, probably as stable as Windows 7 too!

The beta will probably follow the developer preview route, which did not require you to sign up if I remember correctly. :)
