Surface pro 3, i7 processor with 512 GB SSD doesn't come cheap at all. You would expect Microsoft to attend to the need of the buyer first than any other Windows operating system users. Indeed, Microsoft owns the right to the hardware in Surface Pro 3 as well. I can bet my life on it that Windows 9 is coming to Surface Pro 3 as soon as possible.
In your case, no. A very small user base was affected by the bsod's. It is best to leave it as is. Of course if you were to do a fresh install. then the "bad update" would not be available to you.
Funny as it seems that is the reality of it. When is he going to be released from jail? Windows 9 will take some months before it is finally released to the general public.
I thought as much. But, it's silently installed at my back by Windows update that required me to do a system restart or it will do that automatically by itself in a day time or thereabout. I was like wow! I wasn't given a choice to see what was installed in my system at my back only expected me to do a system restart to make changes.
For that reason i disabled auto-update of WU a long time ago . It once restarted the PC while folding proteins and f*cked a really big Work Unit, never re-enabled that function .
I am very sorry for your experience. I know how much it hurts for a project to be messed up by auto restart of a system by Windows Update. I am planning to do the same thing to mine but, I am going to put it in the state of asking me to manually download and install the updates.
I always have WU check for updates, and ask if I want to install them. I never let WU update my drivers, too. I'd rather get them directly from the manufacturer. I also fold, too.
LOL, I have dozens of vista/7/8/8.1 retail keys, if it's free upgrade(or at very low price), just couldn't care less. Or maybe you could ask her: Cortana, Cortana, how do I crack the f**king win9?
