I thought as much. But, it's silently installed at my back by Windows update that required me to do a system restart or it will do that automatically by itself in a day time or thereabout. I was like wow! I wasn't given a choice to see what was installed in my system at my back only expected me to do a system restart to make changes.

For that reason i disabled auto-update of WU a long time ago :cool2:. It once restarted the PC while folding proteins and f*cked a really big Work Unit, never re-enabled that function .

I am very sorry for your experience. I know how much it hurts for a project to be messed up by auto restart of a system by Windows Update. I am planning to do the same thing to mine but, I am going to put it in the state of asking me to manually download and install the updates.

I always have WU check for updates, and ask if I want to install them. I never let WU update my drivers, too. I'd rather get them directly from the manufacturer. I also fold, too.

I don't know, but his days of stealing keys and account info are over.

LOL, I have dozens of vista/7/8/8.1 retail keys, if it's free upgrade(or at very low price), just couldn't care less. :p

Or maybe you could ask her: Cortana, Cortana, how do I crack the f**king win9? :laie:

OK, so it looks like vb4112 is using a branch that doesn't have Mini-Start, (or without shsxs?). he is just a chinese IME developer after all.

I got none, zero, zilch - you give me 2 keys, I give you 2 ex-wives, or 3, or all 4.

    right.

well, his example was about "client builds w/new UI", and he was actually making the point.
well, vb4112 actually said: mini-start is a 'component', and it is somehow 'related' to explorer.exe.
and, remember how 'shsxs' works, it contains many critical resources and code, so those features just 'not there' without it, impossible to be enabled with simple hacks. I dont mean Microsoft is actualy using 'shsxs' again, be there MIGHT BE some similiar mechanism, its all wild guess of course.
whats more, maybe there actually ARE some hints and bits inside vb4112's explorer.exe, he just didn't bother look into it.
there are other possibilities of course, what I mean is its totally reasonable that vb4112 didn't see the new UI.

I didn't consider any screenshot was legit. actually I dont even know what @BAVO's pic looks like, which one was that ? but I didn't exclude the possibilities either, it could be another FBL branch

unlikely, those guys are not that sneaky, unlike those guys from PCBeta forum, always bragging.
