I personally think Windows 365 is not on Microsoft radar at the moment. We might likely not see it in the future. If I can recall vividly,Mary Jo Foley of Zdnet said something along that line in May of this year.
No comment on MJF's blog about win365(yet), although I have imaged it for future use, along with some interesting stamps on it.
August Patch == Update 2. And also, why the f*ck do people quote long posts without shortening them down or just quote first part of sentece or something?
It is iirc And, FaiKee, next time you post PCBeta images just remove ".thumb.jpg" at the end of the url, that way it works for everybody
Tks BAVO, actually what I usually did was first click on the image for it to expand, then right click image and click copy, this time don't know what happened it copied the "thumbnail". I'll see that it works properly next time, sorry again. Btw, I posted in that thread saying the covered item under "Windows 365" is "Midori", but there's a gray small print on bottom of post. In case softpedia or anybody brags about "Midori", you guys should know what happened.
Is that subtle swipe at mjf supposed to be funny? She has provided job listings (which is the majority of the so called evidence for Win 365) search: msft kitchen Wanted: Microsoft seeks Midori OS UI Architect, but countless other sources (the way you gain a reputation, you should take notes) But also her scoop has been confirmed by another author from the SDTimes.com, link is down. but if you use wayback machine and type in sdtimes . com slash link slash 32627 you'll get the page. By a 2012 channel 9 video in which a slide specifically mentions Midori search drawbridge implemented on midori. That has a link to a Microsoft Research video. (which btw is not a screenshot that could have been made by anyone who obviously can not spell) Ultimately, people who have trustworthy sources don't have to go around subtly mocking others on forums, their reputation speaks for them regardless of the attempts of those with an axe to grind.
Thanks s1ave77. It will be interesting to see if any parts of Midori are used in the Threshold/Windows Phone merger or future OS(es) from Microsoft.
Thanks for pointing that out. Midori is nothing new or special. FaiKee, is once again trying to take credit for something he didn't originally report about. Funny how he does this with MJF mostly. That's his main source right there lmao. Except for the public forum and blog posts that he makes out to be made by people wanting to remain anonymous ("insider ms friends"), yet you can easily find said posts that are available to all to read. What a joke
Anyone who pays any attention to rumors is an idiot - it is that simple. Once you have something installed on your machine and can see what it is, then believe it. Continuing to beat a dead horse doesn't rate too high on the coolness list either...
I don't agree with you there. My beef is with proliferating misinformation, being called out for it. Then months later, repeating the misinformation with the addition of emoticons and subtle swipes on a forum as if they even have sources. We'll see which future OS release does materialize: Windows 365 or Midori.
There are simply some sources for rumors that have earned my trust, so I respectfully disagree it makes one an idiot for having this trust. But I agree, once we see it, the discussion will be over. In the meantime, let the wild speculation continue.
