I think he meant since his prior attempts to say something contrary to MJF, he was no longer making any comments.
It was removed due to reports by users of BOSD following the update. It was possibly replaced by other patches which were silently installed on your system automatically by Microsoft in few days ago.
Oh, I understand it better now. My idea of what he meant was that he didn't want to comment on Mary Jo Foley's blog because there was nothing referencing Windows 356 there. Thank you.
We're going to have to agree to disagree. I have never been one to see the world in mere binaries i.e. black and white.
If anything since Win 9 will be requiring regular updates I would think the key feature of a Office 365 styled Windows would already exist making it pointless to have a subscription style Windows. Delivering constant updates would also explain the small references to Windows as a Service. I.e. It will become a service to have Win32 compatibility perhaps?
First thing first, yes you are right, upgrades further than Windows 9 are unconfirmed rumors now. I would bet seeing how Windows on ARM is free in certain situations it makes little sense to back away from that especially now with ChromeOS/Android. The more likely thing I would suspect is ARM free, x86 has a charge. Going by your analogy, if Midori, whose been reported since 2008, is an unborn child I suppose Windows 365 "parents" haven't even been born then. What we do know is that several sites have discussed these automatic updates. They have all individually checked with their respective sources as noted in their articles. So its either: Zac Bowden [search Winbeta Upcoming Windows 9 Tech Preview set to be updated twice a month with new builds], Tom Warren [search The Verge Windows 9 to include interactive Live Tiles as Microsoft aims to revamp the desktop], Brad Sams [search Neowin rapid release is getting really interesting], Mary Jo Foley [search All About Microsoft Microsoft to deliver Windows 'Threshold' tech preview around late September] who are all wrong OR Chinese PCBeta source [and your friend ] is. So supposedly "not knowing win365 mechanism" is simply false.
No idea what you are trying to say, "free update/upgrade after win9" is different from "auto-update to win9", and what is Midori has to do with win365?
Hey I was not the one to bring Midori into this conversation... Anyways I suppose I should be clearer. The one thing we know for sure about any "Windows 365" is that it would be rolling release schedule like Office 365. So since they are talking about biweekly updates in Windows 9, I think it might be possible they are testing Office 365's rolling release schedule with Windows in the upcoming preview. So when you said Win365 mechanism that was what I was thinking^. These updates were hence confirmed by the various sources I noted earlier.
- I believe I have alerted people to pay attention to the gray small print in the PCBeta post, if you do think seriously that the covered item is Midori, it's none of my business, and I just couldn't care less. - No, I myself don't know anything for sure about win365 mechanism, if you try to speculate on the mechanism and compare it to rumored win9 update mechanism, I am not interested.
-I was not speculating on your (probably fake) list. I was simply proving I was not the one bringing in random topics. -Fair enough. I am simply speculating with what's likely i.e. Office 365 rolling release = Win 9 biweekly updates, which is much more different than what's not i.e. Win 365.
LOL, for a while I thought you were Tom Warren with another new login, but he always say with definite tone that whatever I post is fake, and you just said probably fake, you are not him. Anyway, guess we cleared our differences.
You're always saying you "don't know anything for sure", but keep posting everything as if it's all factual. You contradict yourself left and right every single time you post anything. You're little screenshot is from FACEBOOK like you've mentioned. You say that like that makes it all official and can't be fake or wrong at all. The only thing you're ever right about is not knowing anything for sure. That is until someone else reports on it to confirm something then you say they stole it from you or you take what they said and add your own twist to it. THAT'S ALL YOU EVER DO. You're starting to slip up more and more ever since I called you out. You are now saying where you get info from more often than you ever did and when posting stuff on Neowin you make sure to let people know that the info doesn't actually come from you. In the past you never said that and would get a front page article citing you as the source. You're starting to slip up and not getting articles citing you as a source any more. My work is almost done. One last thing. I've mentioned when others get something right, you sometimes get angry with them (MJF and Wzor the prime examples) and target them and never stop. You've been doing it with "bdsams" ever since he's proven he has actually seen builds. You're starting to make snide little remarks about him. Any one else notice this? When "bdsams" first joined here, FaiKee was nice and welcomed him to MDL. Now he's starting to slip some of that little attitude towards him for no reason other than the fact that "bdsams" has actually seen builds and he hasn't and never will until he manages to beg someone to leak something.
