@FaiKee Update 3 return back the new start menu for Windows 8.1 user's presented at the Build Conference 2014 ?
I wonder if the use of Cortana will not be tied to Bing. I hope other search engines will be able to be used.
I really don't think it is going to be the Update 3 notion. That is expected to be the most noticeable feature coming to Windows 9 not windows 8.1. Where is the source to Build Conference 2014 claiming that, please?
I have news about update : I have writing to MJF (Mary Jo Foley on Twitter) and she said : ''Some think there might be another "update" to Windows 8.1, but I am hearing mixed things. Not believing that roadmap''. What do you think ? Victor
Sorry I don't know, at least for now. Take all these as rumor: the original plan was Project Threshold would provide Windows 8.2 next Spring, with Start Menu and windowed apps, now it seems MS changed plan and policy, there won't be 8.2, and update3 features would be spread over the coming Update-Tue's, so: - I don't know if next Spring would be a roll-up called Update3, or whatever MS would name it. - I don't know if start menu and others would be added to win8.1 as planned. btw, just saw your last post, I feel funny that people asks MJF to "verify" info's from a MS guy, she has no access to corpnet, and the tiny bit of "leaked infos" from her "sources" are carefully monitored by MS.
Some NVIDIA Drivers gave us a 10-40% performance boost in certain games. There is an issue with massive input-lag, if a game doesn't use direct / raw mouse input and there is a USB-Polling-Issue as well. Certain on-board sound chips are causing cut-outs when watching a video. The DirectX-Support changed, which led to a smoother overall game-play. Anti-Virus changed ... Certain apps / games still refuse to run or properly run under 8, but have no issues under 8.1 . Some games can't be even installed on both without strange errors, not even in compatibility mode, but run fine under 7 or in a VM. The forced restart after certain updates got introduced. That are only a few things which come into my mind. Vista had a quite crappy out-of-the-box driver support. Windows-7 was much better in that point. Spare-Part's from HP are after 12month mostly not available anymore, even for higher-end hardware.
You refer to a screenshot found on FB as access to corpnet....LMAO. Where's your proof that person actually has any connection to MS besides that stupid screenshot you treat like gold? A lot of your "leaked info" and "sources" have come from MJF articles that you try taking credit for months later when you think people don't remember or can't find them. I keep telling you that someone may be purposely feeding you BS and it goes right over your head why I would bring that up and bother "warning" you. Keep ignoring that LMAO Soon....soon Oh and don't try acting as if you found the furniture reference that bdsams used. People can view twitter and see exactly who brought that up. Again with taking stuff from others. You just can't stop can you?
Can't wait to see what Brad's "well-sourced sources" and/or "access to builds" has inspired him to write about next! And to believe he doesn't have access to corpnet! How "amazing"! How does he do it? But kidding aside, what is corpnet?
