since some speculations are around that the OS simply will be called Windows would make sense because updates on a very frequent style cannot be renamed that often into a new OS-name. All different versions for X-box, tablets, Phones and desktops easily can be handled by one name better than having a bunch of.
Honestly I wouldn't care about any name if it works just fine as it currently does, at least here on all my machines

Agree, I'd rather have a well working Windows Zelda than a poorly working Windows Dcup.

ETA - If nothing else, this thread proves that people of all ages/experience/ethnic backgrounds/sexual preferences/geographical locations/and other cool stuff, can come together and form a totally dysfunctional family.

this is true but I believe that 99% out there never heard about kernel and never would assume to bring these two matters together when OS gets an upgrade deep down inside

I just hope they focus on business's desires instead of constantly trying to court the end-user.
MS is really crappy at being a lying politician like Steve Jobs was.
If we wanted to buy $2000 facebook machines, we'd buy an Apple.
Windows has always been successful when they cater to the adults.
Every time they go kiddie fishin' they lose a lot of money and respect.

What is everyone using for a VM? I've got VMWare Player, and have downloaded Virtual Box.

I've had issues with VBox when multitasking, but I use VMWare workstation.
From what I can tell, VMWare Player is like a single-machine version of workstation.
If that's the case, it's definitely what you'd want to go with.

I really like and definitely recommend Hyper-V on Windows 8.1 Pro

I've also heard that Hyper-V is really good.
I've tried to use it a couple times and just gave up because of the strange terminology.
I think I got a system going, but I couldn't get half the hardware functioning correctly or something.
It's one of those things that is complicated to use, but powerful when you do it right.

Tried Hyper-V also but couldn't get warm with it. Complicated maintenance and a tame performance :cool2:.
