Although, I am not a professional gamer doesn't mean I don't have some idea about games. The improvement in Windows 8 or Windows 8.1 in hardware performances for game users can not be over-emphasized while relating it with previous Windows 7 or Windows XP. I don't think Microsoft would bargain for something less and not outdone the previous operating systems with regard to that. This upcoming Windows would be your best bet.
I don't know if I am the only person who would support fresh installation from doing upgrade prior to old versions. Since I have found out that it is easier, as in error or bug-free in doing fresh installation than upgrade, I would suggest doing that. However, there is a good reason to do the upgrade to keep activation clean though.
Planning to upgrade my 8.1 with an upgrade key if one is needed then backup activation via any technique possible. Once this is done will make a custom Windows 9 ISO with my activation data. (i am on a Windows 8.1 with WMC activated by a free WMC key) Wonder if Windows 9 is not a free upgrade if i would have to buy Windows 9 with WMC upgrade or just Windows 9 to upgrade my 8.1 with WMC.
It would be very petulant of me to say I have a notion about how the expected Windows (Windows 9 for reference reason) activation process is going to be. Nevertheless, you aren't wrong in your procedure of activation of would-be Windows 9 with previous version activation key. And, that might just be changed by Microsoft, if it is not going to be free as speculated. I think there is more to the upcoming Windows than meets the eye.
I believe moderate was recently mentioning the directx 12 and 11.3 stuff. If I tried to remember what he said, I'd just totally misquote him.
Fair point. But clowning posts is pretty lame pretty ironic too that they ban someone for doing it yet most of the people posting on this thread is doing the EXACT same thing.
I consider it a difference between intentional misinformation for clickbate or ego boosting (10 seconds of fame) and clowning around while information is slow. Most comments, questions and information can be found in this thread already. So the majority is simply rehashing the same info over and over, I cannot think of anything better to do than make someone smile. Perhaps I'm in the wrong thinking and should make more people cry and see how it goes? lol
Not trying to sound like a prick, but have you looked at your some of your posts? Especially posts you make when anyone even hints at a leak? Yeah I've posted my share of garbage, but I was trying to stop BS from being spread. BS that makes people anxious like you have gotten. You want it to leak soo bad you can taste it. Am I right? That's only because you let yourself obsess over it because of BS posts that make you think something may happen when it never actually will. Then it doesn't and you and others get pissed and annoyed. This is why you should ignore the ones who say a leak may happen soon "according to their corpnet friends" or "because they read something" on a Russian/Chinese forum so it must be true. When in reality they don't know jack. They just have a need to post anything their told or have read as fact to get the attention. Ignore anyone who says there may be a leak. Period. Because the truth is that Microsoft has added some type of fingerprint to builds that will identify the leaker that's clearly better than anything they've done in the past or it would have leaked a long time ago. It's good enough to make the usual people that make leaks happens sit back and say "It's not worth it" this time around and it shows that Microsoft is stepping up and taking things more seriously now. Got to give them credit for that. It's the 28th. A preview may be available on the 30th. Less than 48 hours. Unless you like being constantly annoyed, you're better off staying away from this thread until the Microsoft conference happens to see what they do.
In other words, Lie = Screenshot from Microsoft's site for Windows Technical Preview download that looks legitimate. Since there's no preview till November, the shot is false. Instead: Truth = Screenshot from pcbeta forums which is merely something someone commented, but only is posted here as evidence(?) for prior fore tellings since we must have short memories. 2 MOAR DAYS
I choose to believe the Truth section - Mainly because I want to start testing Drivers on 9 to see what I need to fix - Win8 TP was completely broken on the video driver side.
Not sure how that has anything to do with a new start menu for Windows 8 via an update 2 as a fellow poster here wrote (Actually now that I think about it, we already had an update 2 which was "August update", so if there is another update to Windows 8 it would be update 3). Speaking of credibility HmHmHm...
so... no live streaming at all by ms... no isos or something leaked... not anything new about the name (we've seen it'll be just "windows 9" on the spacing lines pic, tho) but cmon, are they not streaming it live? srsly? i've waited to much for this to come, to solve 8's, 8.x's problems and they aren't streaming it and i'll have to read some media to understand some or so what's going on? better it be a free update from 8.x to 9... in other case i won't upgrade or buy 'till its support it's completely off.
