Agreed, they can still verify if it's on the same pc with hw checking, but tieing it to a database entry and not account info was just dumb. Well... I guess they could still do that with offline-only activation..

Nah, those pics actually originated from some Russian site, it's fake(or concepts). Upto now it's still 0b/s, guess the guy wishes to check thoroughly on source tracers, it might not happen afterall, so cross your fingers.
That is the problem! I have legal software licenses for many packages but they make the ones that buy it email/phone in and get an activation code every time you upgrade your boxes (this is very time consuming) and then even thou you are just sweeping the office and up grading they treat you like you are some sort of pirate. It becomes a long painful task and therefore an activation key code generator is born. Steam the same, I hate that virus on my personal machine so I buy the game but look elsewhere for the install. If you make it harder/painful to be legit then people won't. If it is more productive to use others free activation packages than it is to use legal than that will continue to happen. If they make it so you can not be productive people will stop using it all together. This is one source of the problem for some of us. Regards
