They showed the screenshot, and they said that they were working hard on the next version of Windows. They also said that they were not going to announce something. But they could also have showed us another screenshot of the next version of Windows, instead of this one.
"Windows 7 is just Vista with a new taskbar. OMG, you don't realize how much I appreciate the old XP-style taskbar. Sucks major when you have to hover over a stacked/grouped app in 7 just to select the particular running instance. Ungrouped like in XP saves plenty of time. I would love to run Vista instead of 7 on my machine, except I don't have the " You are the same person who complained about windows xp when it came out and said you were going back to windows 98 when windows 9 comes out ,you'll be crying about that too and will be saying I'm going back to windows 8 see the pattern ?
I can't even begin to describe how crap my PC ran XP when it first came out. It was like trying to run Vista on a Pentium 4 with 750MB of RAM when it came out...
Unless it was vastly different, there wouldn't be any point re-showing the same idea. I think when they change the start menu, people will like it, but a lot of whiners will still complain. That's just the nature of things. I personally think it looks ok, but I don't even use the start menu when I use windows 7, so I'm not one to argue.
Have you idea When Windos 8.1 Update it's available on MSDN ? before few days liberated on Windows Update ?
I dunno about you, but looking at this thread. I would have to say uhhh no? you wont like the update anyway, you will format 54 times lol
A lot of things are still there and nobody seems to realize that they never actually removed most everything. Even the windows media player is still there, it's just not the default player anymore. Heck even the experience index is still there, minus the gui frontend in control panel. I think even the side-panel gadget thing is still there, just not being used like in win7. The problem, as I see it, is that most of these things are buried in the more apps section of the start page, and nobody ever goes there. Most competent computer users have a knee-jerk reaction to the Modern UI page and will not explore further. It's like when you see a really bad comment on a forum or comment section with no punctuation, that is really long and wordy. There might be some gold in there, but we'll be damned if we're gonna mine that crap out.
mb add option to set post as off-topic when posting and when its gets high percent of topic its will be clean up
