If that new PCPortal guy 08-80 means business "give to everyone" .... then we shall have it in the coming week.
Hope so! Some more info from same guy regarding Update 2: Update 2 is for patching know bugs without introducing any innovations. This patch will include updates to Windows Store, IE, WU, Start Screen, management of shared wireless network, Windows Defender and System Recovery. Also this update will fix bug of TM not remembering windows settings and will add improvements to power management. This update won't include Start Menu, new kernel or new file system, updated components or UI.
If true it's likely that the pre-RTM or RTM code has been sent to a limited number of top OEM partners rather than standard Gold partner memberships, as the update hasn't yet appeared on my companies downloads list on the Microsoft Partner Network.
Funny that they are using a linux like name system with the whole AMD64 image... I know intel uses amd 64 instructions just weird.
Should we conclude very early the information from those Russian Forums is misleading? All rather seems like a contestable data being continuously discredited by many posters here. I still think all the information is based on clear rumors.
I don't get ot why is there touch keyboard icon on taskbar? That means he already messed around with settings or he is using tablet / convertible.
Microsoft have always used this for 64-bit versions of Windows including on ISO file names. AMD were the first with a true x86-64 instruction set after all, and before Intel came on the bandwagon
On a tablet/convertible or touch screen based device the touch keyboard is always present on the Taskbar.
Yeah i see that now lol i was thinking physical ISO name you know when you burn it to DVD and shows IR3_CCSA_X64FRE_EN-US_DV9
but still easy enough to remove the touch keyboard - and unpin store so that is no proof. either way. my laptop touch I can leave or remove.
