Well what it really comes down to is word of mouth and I have to believe that some of the members here have heard alot. I also understand your point that most of these members have no clue whatsoever. Having said that I really don't care what it's called as it's just another installment in the neverending quest to sell product. I guess well all find out next month hopefully. Btw I had a good laugh from your post as it is very similar in the ps3 scene, you know wait till someone comes out with a firmware then say "Ya I had that all along but didn't release it because I didn't want to hurt the ps3 or it's sales".
Hello everybody. I'm a new member here and I'm eagerly waiting for Windows 8.1 Update 2 and Windows 9. Keep up the good work
We are all here to gain as much info about past, present, and future editions of Windows as possible. Some of us have "sources" who claim this, that, and the other thing, and this is all well and dandy. For the record, I have no sources for anything at anytime and know very little about what is, let alone what will be. There seems to be a trend developing of people questioning posts/info/sources/whatever in what might be perceived as challenging/unfriendly/threatening/whatever manner, let's not do this OK? This should not be a pizzing contest to see who can make the most predictions, fastest predictions, the smartest or dumbest predictions. In the words of Aretha Franklin R-E-S-P-E-C-T Please don't make me have to repeat this post, I get real cranky the 2nd time around.
- @BAVO, time has changed, people who had good infos before doesn't necessarily means their infos would be good now, not to mention they have been wrong before, multi-times. - How could my claims be proven when they are yet to happen? btw, which ones are "less and less likely"? - I have said that the guy didn't want high profile, and asked me not to post links, does it matter so much if I read it in his posts, or got it thru phone, or PM, or whatsapp? - I am tired of guessing and interpretating BrandonLive, why not wait and see what he really meant? I posted what I thought, and you posted yours, let's put an end to it. Edit: I like bchat's post, so why not do like what I had suggested, you simply start a thread on what you think, instead of bugging every single one of my posts?
You are welcome to the forum. It is not quite long I joined the online community. The people are friendly. The coming update 2 has been speculated to be made up of important patches. I don't think it is going to be Windows 9 as such.
If you feel like I'm bugging you whenever you post something then you're just bad at handling criticism! You post something you heard or something you've read along with your interpretation, I just offer other plausible explanations, I'm not saying you're wrong, I'm just saying "Hey, it could mean something else too!". If you don't believe me, fine, no need to start a flame-war about it. Let us just stick to this for future posts:
Good, I believe we had agreed on that some time ago, and it was not just me that sensed the hostilities.
All I'm saying is don't act like you have this ultimate source that you really don't have and don't talk trash about people who post wrong info when you have done it plenty of times yourself. Just flushes away any credibility you have when you act like that.
Credibility is a little different than a simple pissing contest. The kinds of things people argue over in this situation has more to do with what is or is not credible. It's all speculation. Anyone who has speculated enough has been wrong many times.
LOL, murphy, my latest mistake was about that 08-80(AKA jesthon) posts in PCPortal, but that's another story. Anyway, I am not responding to the comments from a hater, it's just a waste of time.
I dont know who do you think is 'debating' with you, not me, at least, or 'bragging', or 'struggling', or whatever, I really dont know where those come from. in fact, I explicitly included a placeholder theory, just to make my analysis to be compatible with your information. if you think that means a debate, I'm speechless.
everyone following Microsoft knows that such a thing (OneCore) exists, for a long time, the only 'news' here is just the name. if you have heard the name before, then OK, if what you have heard is just such a concept, without this specific name, then no need to 'brag' (your own word) about it for too many times, just saying.
Maybe my English is bad @NaiveUser, but I thought "debate" simply means each side putting up different opinions based on different point of view, right? It's not anything bad afterall, No? ..... btw, I believe I've never objected to your placeholder theory, just suggested you to keep your thoughts. I guess I have said in my last post that I have not prepared to brag about it either, no? Even though I don't know if "everyone following Microsoft knows that such a thing (OneCore) exists, for a long time"
