Personally i would expect a Windows 9 branding when we see tons of visual changes to get a fresh "image" to consumers, Summer 2015 maybe I doubt we will see it sooner, but GDR2 and GDR3 are or well at least initially i believe these updates were planned, even GDR2 seems to be mysterious right now with the start menu all of a sudden not supposed to be in it. GDR2 Q3, GDR3 Q1, W9 Q3 2015, something along these lines. Though i hope who ever is in charge of the branding gets their s**t together, Windows 8.1 Update 1... truly wtf!
stuggle ? final ??? what was I 'struggling' for ?? I really have no idea, can you tell me please ???? did I make any claim on this naming mess ? why you always put words in other people's mouth FaiKee ???????? and laugh at people for what they didnt say ????? you think its funny ?? can you show some reect to people young punk ?
back on topics, Brandon Live's comment clearly denied the existence of Windows 'codename 9', and didn't exclude the possibility of branding name 'Windows 9' for the S15 update. but, is S15 update same as 'Threshold' ??
No idea, now that WZor is talking again, it's better he risk his friend's job then me risking my friends' jobs. @NaiveUser, Win9 and WinThreshold is totally MS internal, Brandon Live is still under NDA not to speak anything about them.
oh really, then how can you quote his comment to prove anything and laughed at people because of his words ??? do you have any sense of logic at all ?
Why not? The Neowin News blog was talking about Update3, and Brandon Live was also refering to this "Update in next Spring", he mentioned MS people did not mention anything about win9 because there was this prevailing MJF/Thurrott baloney about "WinThreashold will be named Windows 9 and will be launched in April 2015". Windows 9 is a new Windows version, not a Update, WinThreshold is, like WinBlue, a Update, both will come after Update3 and Brandon Live was not prepared to speak anything about neither.
Wrong. MS people talk about their working products using 'code names', not 'branding names', especially the dev teams, if "no one at Microsoft mentions Windows 9", it means, there is no such thing as "Windows codename 9", or, he has not heard about it, or, he can't talk about it, anyway, this part of his comment denied the existence of "Windows codename 9", and has nothing to do with branding names. branding names, are very late decisions, made by the marketing teams, approved by top managements, then dev teams will be notified in the last minute, after the final decisions was made, usually not long before the product was officially announced. and before that, the only thing dev teams know is, "its still up in the air". as I said before, EVERYBODY agrees, the decisions about "Windows 9" branding names are not finally made. neither MaryJo Foley (who was just quoting Paul), not Paul Thurrot (who was just quoting a source) said its final. its all speculations, and as you said yourself before in this thread, why laugh at people because of speculations ? and who 'bragged' about anything ? and who 'struggled' for anything ?? its all your imaginations.
You were just trying to twist my words, like I said, he was refering to the upcoming release in 2015 Spring, how did you know the MS people, when speaking about win9, did not use the codename 9? Another guesswork? This is Brandon Live's post: Notice the "it", he was just refering to the release in next Spring.
