My idea of the modern UI in Windows 9 should be for touch and mobile-related hardware. Having a modern UI in desktop without touch features looks ridiculous. That is my simple opinion though.
One of the things I expect Microsoft to fix in this Windows 9 or Threshold is the scaling limitation in ultra-high resolution systems. I find Windows 8 and Windows 8.1 poor scaling when using Samsung Ativ 9 plus to scale down to a very high-density making texts look very small to read. I hope they will do something about that in this upcoming release.
Maybe.Anyway, I'm looking forword to Windows 9. After all update for windows 8.1 can't add more features,like general hotfix,I think.
probably been asked many times, but is windows 8.1 ever going to get the rumored start menu? tried all the 3rd party ones but not really keen on any of them. been using a quick launch menu for several months now.
