Why? Neowin just steal articles from other sites to start with, none of their stuff is original - that's why they are wrong so regularly Same as Thurrott - steals stuff and publishes as his own
If there is a release next week, I am dreading the begging for different language packs. I will help out and torrent some of the English language stuff.
May not be any new iso, but if there is, there will be NO BEGGING. Yen/Tito have made me Special Begging Moderator. I will employ the age old 1 beg = 1 ban method of operation. I can handle being the bad guy, I've got 4 ex-wives worth of experience...
Lol, I posted a link from MS a page or two back, where they said there won't be an outright update. Anything new, will be available through the regular windows update.
Probably why I got my new title - they knew it would not be needed..... I am ready for Windows Whatever's leaks etc. I'll practice on people who are not nice to other people...
oh, if there are new isos, they all will be Jukeboxed but only run here on MDL when the field is cleaned off clowns and other suspects
MS may use the 8/12 "update", as well as a few future "update" to pave the way to Windows Next. A few "updates" a few months apart may allow them to inertgrate a few things as well as gauge their acceptance, or not, by the public. As has been mentioned before, 8 maybe the playground for 9 right now.
Figured I'd chime in since you are throwing the mud on my name. Wrong with virtual desktops? - neowin(.)net/news/windows-threshold-here-come-the-virtual-desktops Nope, and I broke that news...hardly wrong. Charms stuff? I added more to what winbeta had and we had talked before their post went up - neowin(.)net/news/windows-threshold-charms-bar-is-being-overhauled New UI overhaul which we are seeing with the charms and virtual desktop - neowin(.)net/news/windows-threshold-a-distinctive-new-look-and-a-home-for-cortana (Cortana has not shown up outside of engineering builds - it's still there but no idea when or if it will make it out of engineering. Threshold will turn off the modern UI by default for desktop users - neowin(.)net/news/windows-threshold-the-modern-ui-takes-a-backseat-for-desktop-users - still correct based on current builds. And I was right about WP 8.1 GDR1 hitting RTM, I was right here too - twitter(.)com/bdsams/status/492650397035945984 So I ask you to politely shove it and I know about the fall release of Threshold but I can't get a second source to lock down the month. s**t changes all the time. That's all within that last 30 days. I had to edit out the links, hopefully you are smart enough to figure out how to remove the ( ) from the url.
Hi, Brad, welcome to MDL. Actually it's a bit more complicted than that, maybe @arseny92 could understand it better. The Updates to 8.1 are done by "With Update Branch"(don't know what MS calls it, so take it as a placeholder); while Threshold is done by "Threshold Team", if "Aug Update" reports a different base version(9600 with bumped up delta from 17031), then it's actually "Update2" with name-change, and is a RTM and will have MSDN ISO, if it's still 17031, then MS has actually skipped Update2. But we saw Painter's pic of (part of) OEM paper, so it's quite likely a RTM, we'll know when it is released and installed, and check by DISM. Win9 is another story.
ok, well, another long wait then. still, not going back to 7, 8 is fast n stable and nice once you turn off all the metro crap.
lol I thought that with the announcement of M$ would stop the rumors, but it seems that had the opposite effect ta raining rumors
Microsoft has never been known to give up on a failed OS. They SP'd Vista 2x and it still sucks, just not as bad.
I don't know why is this thread still open with 183 pages full of useless rumors and nothing interesting to take home. I wish I was a mod to close it and move the focus on something that is tangible and real!
