ok, well, another long wait then. still, not going back to 7, 8 is fast n stable and nice once you turn off all the metro crap.
lol I thought that with the announcement of M$ would stop the rumors, but it seems that had the opposite effect ta raining rumors
Microsoft has never been known to give up on a failed OS. They SP'd Vista 2x and it still sucks, just not as bad.
I don't know why is this thread still open with 183 pages full of useless rumors and nothing interesting to take home. I wish I was a mod to close it and move the focus on something that is tangible and real!
I was on Vista x64 2 days ago with a 1100T and 7870Ghz and then i formatted to 7 the next day(the exact same performance, give or take) but nothing beats 8.1 its a sweet spot.. Somethings that people don't understand Vista was never a bad OS and neither was 8 it paved the way to innovation If not for vista you would still all be on an ATi x1600 or a 6600GT lmaoo
hahahahahaha --- check out this one, Thurrott is getting childish calling MS "insulting" etc. for Update 2 bit.ly / 1urr9tN
thanks for the link. I officially cried with laughter when Thurrott piped in and again when MJF justifies her fud lool
Haha, now I can't wait for MS to throw the next bomb at them... "So despite rumors and speculation, we are not planning to call the next version of Windows Windows 9." I mean, after all, the whole Update 2 story was really just rumors and speculation, they never announced it officially (as far as I know), even if something like that was in the pipeline. Now with the stripped down version that will be released, it's a clear change of plans, and it doesn't really deserve to be called Update 2 anymore if you measure it on the changes that came with Update 1.
Got to give them credit for one thing, they got a lot of attention for doing nothing... I don't care what they call the next version of Windows as long as it works OK. Substance over symbolism.
On the other side it's also interesting to see how Microsoft uses them for the sake of publicity and product promotion. Things like Dell Venue unboxing and stuff like that Thurrott does is not too bad for Windows, also his ebooks. In the end it's a symbiosis - they all depend on another. Just look at the name of Foleys blog: "All About Microsoft".. well, if MS is s**t it equals, "All About s**t" - hmmmm nice topic to blog about. In the end she is a MS fan, no?
Last year, I remember reading very interesting long article, even with lots of diagrams, arrows and other nonsense, showcasing how rumors about Apple reaches mass media. I'm pretty sure, it's the same story with Microsoft. MJF, Thurrott and other so called bloggers, who claim to have their insiders, intentionally or not, are just part of Microsoft's PR machine. Yeah, of course, sometimes some Chinese guy from factory takes few pics of new phone, or Surface and posts it on internet, or drunk Russian leaks build of Win. But most of the time, all those leaks and rumors starts on intention, with knowledge of Microsoft. This is how PR works.
of course - the usual supects: "As for Windows 10, "WZOR" claimed that it will be a "full cloud OS," with an internal desktop concept available on Sept. 1st. Being that it is an "internal concept," it will not be seen by the public"
btw - what about "leaking" the identities of WZOR? Dmitry, Evgen, Alex, Shamanix etc .. what do you think?
like arseny92 pointed out recently, the page count, when set to default, does not exceed 50 or such. here I set a defined value due to some malfunction of vBull matter and actually have 61 displayed, though
7 does more with less hardware requirements. Vista loves to hog resources and tends to chug your hard disk 24/7.
