Tried MTK v2.4.8 on that Enterprise build. It starts and detects the OS properly, but when trying to activate, it seems to crash with the Emulator.
Most likely the 2.0 file is current install license (that would be the WMC one) and in the normal folder (lets call this 1.0 for now) would be the classic PRO license? Speculating ofc we really need a activated 8.1 install to test things i guess we be waiting a few more days It will be something simple though can't see microsoft blocking people out of making unattended ISO's we have been making iso's for years that automatically install product keys and activate. And we know you can slip windows updates and features in and out of the ISO's already.
Stupid question guys... Need help. I need a .NET 4.0 Application to test on Windows 8.1 9600 so I can see if I fixed the corrupted WIM.
That was exactly the case, but I didn't try it on the chinese build as well. For all I know it could give the exact same error. There were other problems with the frankenbuild such as not being able to import registry settings and personalization window being blank. It's hard to discern what is the fault of what problems when a build is so unstable.
I think josh cell software's advanced tokens manager, as well as microsoft toolkit from CODYQX4 both use net4. I could be wrong on the ATM, but it was giving me some net4 error on the corrupt wim
* All editions, versions and Service Packs. * Requires .NET Framework v4.0. Yup. Testing now! EDIT: Was worth the try but mine is botched too!
The chinese Enterprise, first Leak, is working flawlessly. Activated .NET 3.5 offline. MTK is running and detecting the OS properly, but fails to start the Emulator and crashes.
I tried putting 8.0 legit activation in the normal folder. It did not work. I think MS moves things around and stuff but it's really hard to tell for sure with that botched install.wim I tried "SFC /SCANNOW" and I got to 2 percent LOL
Not all w8 users will be able to upgrade to w8.1 for free. That's the reason M$ doesn't want everyone to get it. Base on the current tests, only w8 retail version (i.e. no MAK, no KMS) users can upgrade to w8.1 for free.
That places some confidence in and quite a responsibility on those working on and still trying to make KMS activation possible.

Activation will happen eventually. The trick will be to use an existing one with the upgrade for the first few weeks, or reset timer. Same for fresh installs. I assume. I'm waiting for a proper leak.
VL users are expected to have active agreement with Microsoft. Whether those without current SA coverage get it for free remains to be seen.
Million dollar question...Is this the final build(RTM)?! (many people on pcbeta are saying this is not the final build )...I'm confused
One thing I am sure of, having been through this several times before. If WZOR releases it, it is final.
It's already done. It's happening now.
