    so let me rephrase my question, I got Windows 8 x64 on my laptop and Windows 8 Pro x64 on my desktop, Can I use the "MICROSOFT.WINDOWS.8.1.RTM.X64.ENGLISH.DVD-WZT " to just update to 8.1 ?

    It's uploading, currently going at 400KB/s so o_O it's going. Part 1 is at 50% but will be posted as soon as it's finished so people can get a headstart.

    I'm using a KMS activated copy of Windows 8 Pro. Will I be able to simply upgrade to Windows 8.1?

    lets not pretend its easy to use a downloader that's completely in Chinese and you have to make an account on webpage that's also chinese

    So can anybody tell what is the method to activate windows 8.1 if we have retail key or dreamspark key
