    Im testing this out on in vmware, but, windows 8 could play directx game in vmware. but with windows 8.1, directx games are crashing when starting.. could this just be because vmware needs to release updated drivers?

    I have to wait anyway to install it on my machine. creative has to make updated drivers to work on my card again.

    ATI & NVIDIA both have created preview drivers for 8.1 Preview. So you expect new drivers from them soon.

    I have installed 13.4 in Windows 8.1 (drivers for W8), and it works perfect... for now.

    seems almost to be every 6 to 8 hours another release. Maybe they are doing 2(4) at a time.

    OMG...the poor Mods/Admins, madness spreads here. Seems everyone opens a new thread for his important question, instead of waiting a bit.

    All will be answered as soon as some here are ready with playing around :D.

    BTW: recommend closing the majority of them! No need to answer things refrainly in masses of threads.

    would that include surface pro?

    I tried the install but now its not activated and surface pro does not have a key I guess its already installed so not sure how to activate it from this point any ideas??

    I'm really struggling to create a Windows 8.1 Pro USB stick - I've tried Rufus, Windows USB tool and Universal USB creator - all fail

    Help!!

    Rufus - failed on format
    Windows USB tool - invalid iso
    Universal installer - says successful but all it does is copy a few files onto my usb stick
