I know this for Windows, but does this also apply for Office MAKs. Couldn´t find a definity answer so far.
Ok, my WMC key was not part of free offer, I bought for $9.99 as add-on to 8PRO. I literally just got my new windows 8pro OS in the mail today. So could it be an issue bc it was not part of free offer?
No difference between these keys, all ProWMC keys are Retail ones, the free offer was a timelimited promotion, afterwards they selled the keys for the price, you have purchased it .
Same here, know from several failed attemps on Pro and Enterprise, but couldn´t find an answer for Office .
Ok, so bc when I tried to put in the WMC key that I have through command prompt it wouldnt take it. Do you think I should just clean install 8.1 with provided free key, then use my actual retail key to add WMC to that, will it activate everything?
We should keep in mind, that MS didn´t release this to public so far. Still no clue here, why it sometimes refuses to install the key. Tested so far several scenarios to install ProWMC, it´s weird sometimes. This will definitly need further investigations and wait for GA to assure, what´s at least working.
I installed Windows 8.1 Pro Retail over an existing Windows 8 MAK installation and activated it over the phone with no issues. I was then able to use my Office 2013 MAK key to re-activate Office 2013 which was deactivated by the Windows 8.1 upgrade.
For Office 2013 (offline phone activation) h++p://pastebin.com/s9HfKE2R. I have had great success with ******MTBG7
The Windows color is set to 'Automatic' by default since Windows 8. The new, default, yellow wallpaper in Windows 8.1 will set the theme color to yellow.
I try to upgrade from Windows 8 Pro with all my files and settings but I always get the error "This upgrade path is not supported. Please close Setup and re-launch from the root of the media or go back and pick a different installation choice." Any help?
Damn too bad, if I install the RTM now do I need to reinstall the one from october or can I keep this one?
sure you can keep it as it is RTM but you will receive an update package which carries all bugfixes detected until October
