hi, no they are the same. look here: Code: forums.mydigitallife.net/threads/48077-WZT-leak-to-MSDN-ISO-hash-checks
wintv screen flickers when dragging using evr render. didnt do it in windows 8.0 . other render modes look bad.
One maybe useful query. Anyone has definite and official information on the future path for windows 8 that can exclude win 8.1 Although win 8.1 is supposed to be a free upgrade to win 8, the scenario is that a user wants to stay on win 8 and does not want 8.1. Now say after Oct and GA and auto updates on windows, will one need to upgrade to 8.1 to continue being supported with updates for the system (which started with win 8). Can one stay on win 8, ignore the 8.1 update, and keep on getting windows updates for win 8 till end of support.
The question is not strictly to one being better than the other. It is whether one can stay on win 8 till end of support. Does `could' implies no patching/updates from Oct and putting the system at risk theoretically (one way to stay on win 8) or getting regular updates for win 8 even if it is not upgraded to win 8.1 Has MS said that they will supply standalone updates for 8 or updates will be supplied only for win 8.1. That is to say, a prerequisite for support for win 8 is that one has to update to 8.1 (like a SP) and then get updated. My friend/moderator on this forum has indicated that one can stay on win 8 and get regular updates for 8 build (6.2) till end of support.
MS does not force updates on people that don't want them, ever. You could simply disable automatic updates and use manual update checking. If you see 8.1 update, simply uncheck it, and possibly hide in list if you don't want to see it. You can always restore hidden updates later.
I am really sorry if I have totally confused you. Of course, one can hide 8.1 update. But can I then install other updates to 8 or 8.1 is necessary. Post Oct/Nov updates may be linked to having 8.1 update on 8. What if it is no updates for win 8 till it is 8.1. Analogy is that win 7 and 8 are separate systems and both get separate updates. MS is not yet forcing win 7 users to update to win 8 to get support/updates. So will MS publish updates for win 8 and 8.1 separately.
I downloaded the leaked WZOR one in Aug. I also downloaded the referred iso from technet on 10.9.2013. They are identical with respect to SHA1.
Thank you so much! I know that SHA is the same. But I'd love to have the original MSDN ISO! I don't want to rename ISO that leaked before MSDN.
Now a program is released to kill the start button in windows 8.1 RTM hXXp://winaero.com/comment.php?comment.news.215
