It would probably be available in the form of like a service pack install. I'm not exactly sure, but I think MS has some sort of deal with retail customers where you can download your version iso any time you want. I'm not sure if they'll offer the same thing for 8.1 since I think the keys will be the same. As far as RTM, no I don't think it'd be in the form of a msdn rtm-style iso. The only downloaded iso I've seen had an install.esd instead of install.wim and had a few other xml things hanging around.

Whole lot of waiting for what really IMO amounts to a Service pack for Windows 8. Finally giving users what they asked for back in Windows 8 preview, yeah I know, they "made it better"
Well, as far as I know, the last Service Pack adding features for normal use and/or UI changes was XP SP1... this is something like a Service Pack+, with new customiztation options, easier use and new API for 3D printing and more... It's even a SP++

The waiting is quiet pleasant this time. No angry/annoying people. Today I noticed that Office 2010 SP2 was released a month ago. There used to be waiting for office SPs too but not anymore it seems. I didn't even know about SP2 until today. @free1975yuly He won't say it if I'd ask. The nameswitch wouldn't make sense if he would... A joke could also be possible yes
