Guys.. is this thread spamming out!! Lets not forget the thread title.. News/Discussions: Windows 8.1 RTM Build 6.3.9600.16384
This is why we need IRC Fingers crossed on a leak soon, seems very quiet on the news front the past few hours. Not learnt anything from sources worth mentioning (it's all just X company got a copy of it and same 18th date crap and MSDN might still get it early rubbish.). I would expect an announcement about the MSDN availability tomorrow or day after.
You know, any IRC server can be logged onto and a MDL channel made. As long as a admin/mod/bot here signed in and stayed signed in it would be there for how ever long it needed to be.
But see, if I understand correctly, MSDN, Windows 8.1 will not until September, right? So that there is no way to leak Windows 8.1 before?
I would tend to agree with you there .. What might be useful is an opinion thread on whether you think the roll out of W8.1 rtm will be business as usual for M$ or will there be changes like partners (MSDN and Technet) get it early or get it the same as everyone else ? will they finally have a WGA using the "Store" data.dat file as the cornerstone ? It appears to me there are changes ahead on how they M$ might do their roll outs .. Your guess is as good as mine
You know, from what I heard, you guys are actually all running build 9600 in your machines: build 9600 is basically build 9477 recompiled, with only a few minor adjustments here and there that nobody would notice unless you probe very deeply. Of course, if you are not running the 9477 zh-CN with the original boot files, then you are running a frankein-build 9600.
