probably posted before, no idea, I dont wanna browse 20 pages to check it Microsoft: Windows 8.1 has hit RTM; no early access for MSDN or TechNet
OK, so i see same thing is gonna happen with MSDN/Technet Release of what happened with Xbox One DRM issue. Many People will sign petitions and MS has to change its decision and release it (well) before 18th Oct. Otherwise MS will start losing its customers who pay thousands to get that before GA as there will be no difference remained between them and General Customers. Typo Spotted again; TechNet instead of TGechnet
There are a lot of people viewing this thread and visiting MDL right now because they want real Windows 8.1 news. The issue, however, is that theres a lot of people clogged up this thread with silly off topic nonsense. Please act mature guys. Some of the other mods are on about locking this thread and handing out bans if it keeps up, so consider this a warning. Thanks.
I would normally say that they would lose money from the customers who will get it by other means before GA. This would not be true though, because this is an upgrade. Anyone with a legit license downloading it early would have no effect on the money they get. If this was a new OS however it would be a very bad idea, people would be wanting it early just because it's new and people like to be ahead of the crowd (or think they are) this would mean allot of people downloading it and bypassing activation and most likely never paying for it even when it is released. They should just release it to everyone as soon as it hits RTM. RTM should mean it's ready for public no testing needed as it's stable and already been tested. OEM's can use the test builds to get systems ready.
