U r right. I want to wait until the real release of windows 7 and then buy a cheap copy of it near my street cd shops.:D. I know it will pre-activated after installation.:p

By the way I too had the similar problem and solve it by going into command prompt by DVD. And I do like this

But before that I enter bios setup and set time and date for bios. Then, I set DVD as my primary boot. It works smoothly and my windows return to normal and not activates.

Thank you very much guys, fixed the MBR and it worked.

I created a Windows 7 Repair disc (using a CD-R) on my desktop computer. And did the 'bootsect /nt60 ALL'. Worked like a charm :)

The '*OFFICIAL* 7Loader 1.4 By Orbit30 + Hazar' didn't work. The system was not activated. So I tried the WoW 7.0.1b same error. Same error

Well, the problem is sometimes the CD works on boot (appears that message to press a key too boot from the CD) and sometimes it doesn't. The computer read the CD (I can hear/feel it) and nothing happen. And yes, it's the first on the boot list and I even choose to load from it on the boot menu (F12).

Right now I'm trying to fix the MBR again (after the WoW error).

Can anyone recommend me a loader?

    Remember I have a Acer Aspire 5315.

    Thanks!

Glad it helped. Try hazar's original loader. And if for some reason your computer doesn't like the taste of loaders, try a patch.
By the way, use 1.4 7loader to remove all cr**ks and uninstall 7loader first, before you try other stuff.
If you're not sure if your windows is still in good shape, you might as well reinstall

Thanks Stool. But can you tell me where can I get the 1.7 and the original loder? I only found the 1.4 one (the one that I tried).

    Thank you very much.

Why don't you just mod your bios with SLIC 2.1?

that message always appears don't worry about it. Acers are just a bitch when it comes to loaders. It is something with the BIOS you will need to mod the BIOS not use a loader.

Just tried the 'VBS based bootloader installer', same problem.

I'm going to try the untermensch loader now. Let's see it it helps.

If not, I think I will try the SLIC. Hope it doesn't broke anything.

    Edit:

Tried the untermensch loader and got this problem:

    "
    Cannot open input file E:\w7led
    ERROR w7lrd md5 check failed
    ERROR Install failed
    "

    Another failed attempt :(

Have you tried new grldr from zsmin? You may get it in "Program based loader" thread, using experimental mode, or directly in "Official MAC..." thread.

    Thanks

THANKS x1000, this solution helped with 100% accuracy - My system was up and running again in seconds. My initial issue was that my pc was doing windows updates before I was stranded on the blinking cursor.
