No grace period in Windows 8 - confirmed.

    Well, somebody said it activated automatically right after being installed. I wondered what happens if you install it without the internet connected, then re-connect after installing the drivers (which you have prepared in advance). Surely you don't HAVE to be online for the installation to take place, do you? I was wondering, as I haven't installed any version of Windows 8 since one of the preview versions a few months ago.

    You don't have to use a internet connection to install Windows 8. And if it fails to activate, it try when it has a internet connection. Don't know how long you can run it without any connection.

    So if I install the leaked version which I did (it never asked me for a key) and continue to use it un-activated will I run into any issues?
