I can no longer see my Network Attached Storage in this build(10049) Enterprise. I have Network Discovery enabled and can get to the device by IP Address in a browser but am unable to map a drive to any share. Anyone else having these issues. I have Windows Credentials setup properly(at least it worked in previous builds) lol.
did u have a clean install or upgrade from 10041? i thinking when i upgraded, it was still there. but now i have clean install to 10049 and thats not there
Both were clean installs, and yes I can see it in Devices and Printers. This is a Western Digital MyCloud Drive if that makes any difference.
I'm wondering if this might be affected by the changes to the networking stack in this particular build.
Anything is possible. My most recent problem was that I couldn't install Windows 10049 and create a local account if you had a non charging battery installed. Had to remove the battery in the laptop first. Good Grief!!
I just updated my Pro build 10041 to Pro build 10049 guest in VMWare WS11 and I could not map network drives from the host either????????????????????
for me too. installed 10056 no ones of my two NAS will shown... but i Need it... but i have a mini solution: the Problem will be at first on build 10049. so install 10041 which still works fine, then upgrade from WU to 10049, NAS will works fine. so, every time only upgrade to a new build, like 10049 to 10056, i think, it will still working. only a clean install all over 10049 could be the fail...
yes ist still working, with Name (mybooklive) from nas TOO. when it Show now the Folders, i can with right click add an Network drive an go to the nas normaly. but only shown on Network dicovery will not working. but your way works fine!!
I can confirm this as I have Sysnology NAS that not showing up but I access it via IP address then I pin it to Start and no issues so far! Just Hit Win+R (or in Explorer title bar as well) Type \\NAS-IP > Enter
so i think there is still a big ohter bug up build 10051. every some minutes the network connection to internet and router will lost. only deactivating and reactiviating or reboot the machine will help. for some new minutes to work. same probleme on 10056 to. on 10049 still works this fine.
