Fix it by removing the Retail license after conversion? Wouldn't that prevent the Visual Refresh from applying, which happened automatically in my case?

You used a different utility, so I can't write an answer. I do not know if it shows all licenses, including service, not activated, not available for activation.

There is a theory that traces of the Retail installation remained, which is why Office activated the interface. There is no detailed documentation on the dependence of functions on the license, on the update channel, on entries in the registry, therefore, unexpected behavior with a declared contradiction between the visible name of the product and the declared capabilities cannot be ruled out.

@Dark Dinosaur The duplication of retail and volume licensed is what cause my version of office 365 to lose its visual refresh too.

Somehow I too had multiple licences installed. Thank you for fixing this.

I was wondering. How about if one would install the Retail version and let it sit for a few days without activating it until the new features get applied (not sure if this would happen if Office is not activated), and then activate Office afterwards which converts it to LTSC. Would the new non-LTSC features actively get removed?

Hmm, if your Visual Refresh gets affected by this bug then fixing it would make me think that Visual Refresh would not get applied after conversion to LTSC. Having duplicate licenses (one of them being Retail) might be an advantage for LTSC users to receive the new features. Not sure though.

@Dark Dinosaur What's your conclusion about the above?

Also, is the KMV_VL_ALL tool also affected by this bug? Because I used that tool

Not considering this your problem. It's just because you said your fix shouldn't affect the visual refresh while maxama123 experienced otherwise.

I meant KMS VL ALL also showing duplicate licenses (Retail and LTSC) after conversion. I used KMS VL ALL for activation and I'm seeing duplicate licenses in regedit as shown before.
