I suppose we're witnessing an epidemic of the "spotlight effect". Some systems are apparently locked down so tight they can barely boot to the lockscreen!
Yeah and I wonder why so many people stay with their crippled/castrated/blocked 10. After all removal of the new features what stays is just a pretty bad Windows 7 clone, why not go back to 7 instead?
that's the question, sir I'm back. btw. do we have a refs port for windows 7 already? I made the mistake to format refs and now I can't access the partition from linux to copy data. I could do it with cifs, but sheesh .... time is choice.
My experience is that it is a better version of Windows 7 when the the crap is got rid of - it not so much crippled as freed... I don't need the new Windows 10 features. I don't need to be spied on. I won't go back to Windows 7 because the support life is years shorter than Windows 10. Anything else?
I'm sure there will be a mandatory update to address issues and will enable you to "receive future critical updates". The gig is up on mainstream operating systems and privacy, get in a car wreck, with a smartphone in your possession and the authorities can review the activity prior to the accident to see if you were texting, distracted. By the nature of it's design it tracks your travel and whereabouts and to an extent what you are saying, thinking and it even has access to your financial records (if you use banking apps). This is a case of the consumer getting exactly what they asked for. Only way to maintain privacy is to keep your private life off of your electronic devices. Well, enough about that, I have to go update my facebook status.
This is a different thing to The title suggests spying, and the sub-heading is about stealing data. Which one is it?
Oh good, another thread about Windows 10 is Spyware, what a refreshing change! MDL could do with a few more of these! There's a simple answer to the endless whining and cursing it as the spawn of Satan - if you don't like it - don't use it.
Ohh, good, another "I hate this type of thread but I'm going to respond to it anyway, so everyone knows I hate it" comment.
A bit like those who have posted endlessly of their dislike for Win 10/Privacy/Spying etc - but for some reason find it essential to keep on posting it.
I feel for you, if I ever find the person forcing you to read these threads I'll give him a piece of my mind. I got your back bro.
